Beta Utensili acquired a majority stake in Helvi

Beta group has finalized the acquisition of control of Helvi S.p.A., a leading Italian player in professional metal welding products.


Helvi was founded in 1975 by the Segala family in Sandrigo (in the province of Vicenza) and is a leading Italian manufacturer of industrial welding machines, plasma cutting machines, professional chargers and accessories. In 2022 the company reached a turnover of more than Euro 15 million, 70 % of which achieved abroad.


Beta group, founded by the Ciceri family exactly 100 years ago and based in Sovico (in the province of Monza and Brianza), is a leading European manufacturer of tools and work equipment for professional mechanics, industrial maintenance and car repair specialists.


Thanks to the acquisition of a highly specialized Italian player such as Helvi, Beta increases its presence in terms of offer and production, confirming its leadership in the sector with 10 factories located in Northern and Central Italy, a footprint in 100 countries with its products through 11 branches in Europe, China, Brazil and the U.S., 250 distributors, and with a consolidated turnover exceeding Euro 225 million in 2022.


The Segala family will support the new shareholders keeping a minority stake and an operational role in the company.
