GeneraLife, a leading European group specialized in reproductive medicine, has acquired the control of “9.baby” network of clinics, Italian leader in diagnosis and treatment of infertility, founded by Andrea Borini through the company Tecnobios Procreazione. 

Headquartered in Bologna, 9.baby network consists of 13 clinics widely spread all over Italy where 9.baby medical team carries out assisted reproduction treatments as well as diagnostic services and counselling on infertility diagnosis and therapies. The gynaecologist Andrea Borini will remain involved in the company he founded with a minority stake and he will have a key role in the future development of 9.baby centres as Scientific Director and member of the Board of Directors. GeneraLife, controlled by the American fund KKR since November 2021, manages 35 clinics in 5 European Countries (Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, Sweden and Portugal) and, thanks to this transaction, strengthens its presence in Italy.
